Thursday, June 14th, 2007
The LG-KU250/U250 handset, a sleek and slim 3G mobile phone, was selected in 2007 for the GSM Association’s “3G for All” campaign by a consortium of the 12 largest mobile operators (GSMA-global trade association for mobile operators).
Through the ‘3G for all’ program, the GSMA plans to establish a core set of common requirements for 3G handsets over the next few months in an effort to help mobile phone suppliers rapidly bring down the cost of manufacturing phones.
LG KU250/U250 features 262k color TFT display, 1.3 mp camera, bluetooth, expandable memory via microSD card and music player. Plus all the usual features expected in a handset like calculator, calander, alarm etc.
Although don’t expect anything revolutionary as this is an entry level handset designed to bring communications to the masses via it’s low cost. The phone does have internet capability, supports audio formats including MP3, AAC and WMA, java support and MPEG4 for video. Actually the LGU250 has quite a good range of features for a low cost entry level handset.
